ONE major Interior problem...for some
I was going through some of the interior pictures in regards to how I would have everything set-up (Phone, GPS and/or radar detector) and I came a cross a problem that can be a huge issue for those with a GPS or radar detector.
If you look closely in some of the interior pictures, the only A/c outlet is next to the cup holders. I hope to the chevy gods that i am wrong about this, or they add one before official launch, but there isn't one next to the dash, which means peripherals, such as a radar detector can not be used. What are everyones thoughts??

I currently have a gps, radar detector, and dash camera and none of them use a 12v outlet, nor can you see more than 4" of any of the cords. They're all hard-wired with the cords running through the dash/headliner/a-pillar. Only thing I ever use the 12v outlet(s) for is to charge phones.
If you don't want to hard-wire things, you could just buy a splitter.

I think I remember reading the Playbook and it said a 12v outlet pass through was included in the arm rest console to hide the wires for radar and GPs but may have been in another article though.
Not sure how this works. It may be just the ac plug in type in the console. I personally like to wire directly to the mirror for radar. |

For the sake of correct nomenclature, AC is for 120V and requires internal inverter (which I doubt we'll get in the Camaro, my Wrangler has one) and the 12V is DC

Just tap in to the 12v sources supplied to either the mirror or sunroof (if you have one).

Yeah I noticed that too. It'll be a stretch for a lot of power cords.

I don't see how this is a major interior problem. So it may take more than 5 minutes to throw a radar detector in, but if you only slap one up, on any car, it looks like crap.

I was planning on a stealth setup so this doesn't bother me, but I can see how it would concern you.
