What Exhaust, headers, and so on....

So I'm in the market for some badass sounding exhaust, headers, and x-pipe. Camaro's are not my area of expertise, I've always been a mustang owner. I want my SS loud and mean. Any pointers?

Look around on the forum. I'm fairly certain there is a sticky for exhaust clips

Lots here. Find something you like, then find someone on the area to listen to it in person.

There's also tons of threads about installation, brands, cost, tuning, volume (inside the car and outside). Just spend a little time here and you should find something you like.

If you're looking for the loudest then you need to look into adding Long Tube headers and doing either a muffler delete or get a Borla ATAK system.

From what I understand you want a good set of headers but dont want to pay an insane amount of money on them because they are almost all the same. This will get you the most performance and sound. I have heard stock exhaust systems that sound great with headers. I would recommend getting a tune with them though. Ted at Jannetty can take good care of you. www.jreperformanceparts.com . Should you ever choose to do exhaust then it is all about what you like. I liek a deep tone that sounds more refined and some like the Borla Atak which sounds like the end of the world!

Check out Dynatech, Kooks, Texas-Speed, and ARH. These are some of the names I have seen most on here.

The JBA full system sounds great if you like it loud.

Yes, many people have. I'm sure it's in the exhaust clip thread.

Gotcha. Idk if it'll be loud enough for my taste. I'll ck out some threads. Wanting something that sounds similar to my old mustang.

Looking into the res delete myself. There are some video clips on line, but I would like to hear it in person.

Me too. I'm not sure if it's the video quality or what but most of the clips I've heard are rather raspy.
