I added a male connector to the end as well as 2 5 amp fuses. Just replaced what I had -- did a test and it was perfect. This definitely is better piece of mind instead of this: I have this now: Thanks for your input! -Don

OK, Escort Max2 is installed!
I have to say, the mirror tap that comes with the mirror mount is not that great. The solders on the fuse and the ground were very poor. If you put ANY pressure near there, they will break. I was able to re-solder and update it with wire that 'actually' fits in the connector. Once I did that, it FINALLY would come on. I basically followed this: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53330 To remove the mirror. I would tilt the mirror downward, take the plastic cover off first, then, remove the 20 Torx screw. I used a trim tool to 'twist' the connector off -- really easy. The longest part was the darn mirror tap. But, its now installed!: Now, charge the battery, and take it out for a spin! -Don

Well, the factory battery gave up the ghost today so, I had to get a new one -- no one had a factory one ready so I purchased this one:
https://www.batteriesplus.com/batter...0cca/sli94ragm It sure does spin the starter faster! -Don

Well got to drive it and test everything out. The escort live app is nice and gives you locations as well as learns. I like that the db is updateable as well. Nice so far. Battery really turns the car over fast....

JacFab came in and Jason did a fantastic job on my 'special' order. I have a splitter extension on the front and the stock 'ZL1' bracket didn't fit. This came from Gary's Customs and Jason made a one off for me -- I also had the splitter savers so I had to get 2 8X1 screws to take up the difference. Here it is!:
So, when Texas decides we no longer need a front plate, this will be a snap to take off! Gotta love the sponsors we have... -Don

Ok took it for a long drive, JacFab works like a charm! No rattles, shakes, and stayed put. If you have to have a front plate, this is the way to go...

Well, today I did the 'recall' 14271 for the suspect power seat bolt:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...3&postcount=10 Not too difficult but I can see why it needs to be changed (mine was not loose) Here is a pic of the original bolt vs the kit: The bolt on the left is what I took out, the kit is on the right -- yes, the bolt now has a retaining washer, longer bolt, and a nut -- both bolt and nut have loctite (blue). Here is a pic of the bolt ready for assembly: Here is the cost -- I got two: Removal is pretty straight forward -- following the Spec I reference -- here are some steps to follow after you've move the seat full forward and up: Remove the phillips screw in the back of the cover: Next pop these two retaining clips (pull towards you firmly but gently): Once those are loose, you need to pull the plastic cover rearward then pull the rear towards you, this will remove it from this clip: Follow the spec -- the bolt uses a T45: And a 17 MM for the nut: Once you have it installed, Torque the bolt to 31 ft lbs and the nut to 18 ft lbs. You can see the difference: Reassembled and tested it out -- works like it did before... Recall is complied with and I didn't need to leave it with the dealer. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes... -Don

You sure have done many upgrades on your Camaro. I had not heard your timeframe to change out the cam. Have you got a target date for that project?

As soon as I get it... I'm still waiting on it. I intend to install it right away or within a couple of weeks - depending on schedules...
Right now, just waiting... -Don
