V6 auto differential swap to a SS,V6 manual?

I would prefer to have the LS3 with its limited slip and lower its gearing in my V6 auto. What would it require? I think it would be a possibe axle universal joint issue? Does anyone know ,rather then like me and guess?

I'm thinking of the same thing, but in the very minimum, going to the v6 manual rear end. Same size ring and pinon of the SS cars, with LSD. I'm not overly concerned about the ratio right now, although IIRC, the v6 manual is lower then the a6 cars as well.

Yeah, that is why I put SS,V6 manual in the title. Ideally, I would like the LS3 however would go with the L99 or V6 manual as it seems they maybe the same. Anyway, I noticed a company that installed gears into the SS with a core change and if there was no core, a $750 dollar core charge would be made against their CC. I would pay that for a LS3 rear end.

Not positive but most manual and auto cars now have different axle shafts for each based on the shock needs. Maybe the place doing the gear swap knows this and have it priced to reflect that. Have the dealer check and see if the part numbers match between the two.

You can put the V8 gears in the V6 M6 rear end. We have had several customers do it already with the 3.73s.
