I will concede that some may find it ugly, but this car is far from pointless as it fills a vital role in the Chevy fleet...

Not to mention it's Chevy's mirror vehicle to Ford's Fiesta. Soon, the Beat will take up a position below this car, even.

I'm honestly not sure why these small cars are so quirky-looking. But I suppose it's attempting to appeal to the REALLY young-driver crowd.

I can get into the whole 'hot hatch' thing. They look quick and fun, but they still have utility.

I've been told not to expect one until 2013. Unless that's been changed...

you know what, I like it. I just really hope they keep those headlights, because without them, it's just another car. But with them, the car has some real character and attitude that I would love to drive as a daily driver. Especially if there were an all wheel drive option. Then this car would be a no-brainer for me here up north.

I like it. I wish they would keep the wheel flares and 19 inch rims. Gives the car a real substancial stance..

Even if they downsized the wheels and tires a little.. Keep the look.

I hate when they put 13 inch rims on these little cars so they look like rollerskates..

The question is how much does GM spend on rebates whereas if the car has huge rims and tires....it creates a demand by consumers to spend more to get the car they want..

this is one of those cars...

Hell even if the 19 inch rims were only 5 inches wide....That would give both economy and a substancial look to the stance of the vehicle..

Performance options could be a wider 19 inch rim..

JMO ...the blue show car looks great for the market segment.

Me, too! I do like this one. A HELLUVA big improvement on the current Aveo.

Mmm...that's too bad. Isn't that about the same time the new Malibu is due?

Next-gen Malibu is due next year as a 2012 model.

They would sell a lot more if they made that bottom portion of the grille less ugly.

Sure it makes it look like a "Chevy"... a design que that started with the '67 Chevy C-10...

But it's killing their sales...
