i was wondering at what RPM do you guys launch your cars? and how do you launch it? also how to do a burnout. i can do a donut without a problem..>.<

Are you talking about launching at the track, or just dropping the clutch to get rubber?

I haven't tried mine at the track, but simply rev it up to about 2500 and do the clutch/accelerator pedal exchange and enjoy it! I recommend heading to a drag strip test and tune night so you can experiment with the revs. Keep traction control on unless you just want to smoke it or take it sideways.

I launch from idol.. However I have an A6 not M6, so I'm sure it's different..

Hold the revs at your desired engine speed then drop the clutch at the last yellow...

To spin the tires, I heel/toe the brake and throttle. It is pretty easy when the tires are wet. It does take a toll on the brakes (not to mention the tires). When the tires break loose (wet) it is easy to sustain the spin.

To me the pedal design of the LS works very well for heel/toe use and heel/toe driving has a lot of applications other than getting tires to spin at the dragstrip. It is something you can practice on the street.

Your drag launch is a matter of practice also. I do not heel/toe the launch. Once staged I don't use the brake. I get a gentle rev to about 2500 with the clutch pedal fully depressed and on the last yellow I do the "clutch and throttle exchange". I don't think I have ever fully "dumped" the clutch on launch...just don't care to be that hard on the equipment.
