You obviously have never experienced MGW.
The MGW is the WHOLE shift assembly and not just a shift rod. Just look at what you get fot the $.

what exactly is this "poll " based on?. a complete unit?., quality of components used?., throw reduction?., ease of install?., price points?, amount of units that will be sold?..there are so many variables here a poll doesn't really serve anyone a solid purpose

I think the poll is personal preference, nothing scientific about it.

I voted for the MGW, but prefer the 'looks' of the classic Hurst.
When I drop my money on the table, it'll more than likely be for
the MGW though.

Hard to say, I've got the Hurst installed and I like it but have not seen or tried the MGW so unless you have driven both theres no point in voting. Probably a lot like the CAI comparison they both will have plus and minus attributes. Really boils down to personal preference

I bought an MGW (getting installed today) but to make this poll worth the time it takes to read the results the only votes that should matter would be from people who have used them both. Just my opinion.

I love Hurst, always have, always will... MGW is what I will be buying this time. I like the fact that it is a whole assembly.

Hey Doc, Can you do a review of it when you get it installed? I would like to hear about it. And some pictures

As for what I know, its true that I have never tried MGW. But I have met up with the people who work at hurst and they are all great people. I have also met with one of the Engineering that helped build the hurst shifter and he is very good and knows a lot! He told me that it was not necessary to have whole assembly. They made their part work with what GM has and made it better. After playing with it for a while, I got to say, hurst is great!
