Remove Back Seat

I wonder if Chevy will ever have a delete back seat option. As I have no use for my back seat and well being 6' 2" there is no room in the back seat. So I may post pictures (laugh) of me removing my back seat.
Also wondering if there is a Team LS .

Theres a guy selling a rear seat delete kit in the interior vendor section. Looks pretty nice and seems like an easier way to put some slicks/radials back there for a track day.

Would this even save much weight? I had a look at some of the seats that weren't installed in the car and there couldn't have weighed even a 100 pounds.

It won't save much weight and if you at least want some noise reduction and even a remotely reasonble looking car, the close out panel and carpet you need to add back in offset a good chunk of it.

GM has a performance car with no rear seat, it's called a Corvette.

MINI HLK, you have an LLT engine, so you are part of Team LLT.

In my post I say nothing about the weight. Although ridding my self of a back seat would save a little. Its just I cant see anyone sitting behind me. So I thought why not remove it and do something different. I am not sure about the reasonable looking car comment. I dont see how not having a back seat would ruin the astetic value of the car. Although everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I can respect that. Ah thats what the LLT stands for now I'm not so dumb.
BTW, my friend just ordered a 2LT Orange RS Camaro. Haha.. I will have to have him join this site.
Thank you all for the posts.

Yes we are the ones offering the Rear Seat Delete for the new Camaro. Deleting the rear seats has been something even the manufacturers of various vehicles have done at some point, to remove the pointless and unuseable rear seats in a 2 door coupe. For example, the '93 and '00 Mustang Cobra R models came with one, although it was just a flimsy piece of carpet probably to keep costs down.

The overall weight loss after installing our RSD is exactly 30 lbs off the car. But some people do it to be able to carry items in the car without risk of tearing up their leather seats, or to deter unwanted passengers from asking for a ride. ("Sorry Dude, there's no room!")

With the rear seat delete, can you still use the trunk pass-thru feature?

I think this is a bad idea "no offense". I mean what if you have to sell the car or if you end up having kids? You never know...

The seat delete panel can be easily moved by taking out the 2 13mm bolts at the base to pop it down, for carrying long items through the trunk when you need to. But there is no fold-down option so to speak.

It's not a permanent change to the car. You can easily reinstall rear seats. It literally takes less than 10 minutes to do the swap, once you've done it the first time.
