I thought that was a given?

+1. We may not match their vehicles spec for spec...and perhaps theirs are a tenth better somewhere....but guess what? Our cars come in at nearly half the price -- and look better, imo, too!! :flag2:

Havent we hashed this out already? Its not $10K more. Unless you want to compare the stripper SS to it which even then you wont get all the stuff the srt8 comes with. And even then its not close to $10K.

My 2009 Challenger SRT8 RWD
Base Price $40,220
My Selections Show me $1,700

Destination Charge $725
MSRP as Configured $42,645
Purchase Offer Lease Offer
Southeast BC Financial Bonus Cash * -$1,000

Net MSRP $41,645

I built a similar 2SS and it was $37K.

Hows that 10K?

The 2SS adds nothing to the performance. We aren't talking about features and options, we're talking about straight line performance. If I want to go 0-60 in 4.7s, it will cost me an extra ~$10 000 to do that with a Challenger vs a Camaro.

yea which sucks because if you strip down the srt8 it would be the direct competitor to the SS :(

oh well

Can we please stop calling the Challenger a "chally?"

This is the stupidest thing ever. It makes my skin crawl. I will grant that it is an inferior car to the Camaro, but the imbecilic name is not warranted.

I agree to that if you agree to not say stupidest anymore and say the most stupid....

Challie then?

It's a tank. With the v6 you won't be winning very many notches on the victory belt.

The lifetime engine, tranny and rear end warranty (non transferrable) is good if your gonna keep it. But who knows if Dodge will even be around.

In theory they would have to keep buying you engines and trannies if you kept driving it.

I mean... really?

ok.. straight from the sites.

Our Chall-pall's MRSP $42,645

And the SS MSRP $30,995

Now thats MORE than 10k.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

wow the it's a tank argument....original...the camaro is a tank as well....

and i agree the v6 blows but it's switching to a 5 speed auto instead of a 4speed (they are building 5 speeds now) and a new engine, hopefully next year we will have a shootoff with all 3 v6s and v8s all over again.

Are you saying the performance of a V6 is lacking? Wow, genious.

Gator, we have discussed this in detail already. Its evident you are somewhat of a fanboy toward the camaro. Fine, good, who really cares. Those that have the ability and want to edjucate themselves can go to each site and build each car. They can see that if you build the two cars with the same features(leather, stripes, etc.) that the two cars arent close to $10K apart. And good luck finding a camaro on the lot for msrp BTW.

And yea I mean......seriously..........really.
