One of my favorite mods to do!

mikeyg36 deserves a big thank you for helping me order the right parts from Speed Dawg Gear Bangin' Shift Knobs and talking me through the mod. It was very easy and simple but yet nerve racking considering you have to remove the gauge cluster and install new adapters to the boot thingy. None the less this mod takes 15-20 minutes.

Since most seem to favor black knobs I got the new one in blue with white rally stripes and 1970-1974 Camaro script.

Thanks again mikey! If you ever make your way to Chicago you can have all the strippers and whiskey you can handle!

Looks great! I want one now...How much do those knobs weigh? My short throw buzzes if the knob is light. Right now I have a powder coated stainless steel one and it tends to get a little hot after being parked in the Texas sun!

There are only two options in life. Fight or flight. Most people run. Almost all people run. But not us. The difference between us and everyone else is that we run towards the gunfire. And that makes all the difference.

I'm not sure how much it weighs, mine has a good feel to it and doesn't buzz or rattle, but they do sell weighted knobs. They specialize in custom orders so if you want something specific in weight, design, or function they can probably do it for you.

It's best to call them instead of order online so you can go over more options.

Dude check Gman1135 response and document on page 2 of this thread but read the whole thing.

Also I think TAG UR IT is the one to ask about 2nd gear grind. If it was me I'd take it in to the dealer. You don't want to be stuck in first only on the side of the road somewhere.

I just PMd Tag. I'm pretty sure the dealer won't do jack shit about it.
