cop threatened me to be put in jail for taking off smoking the tires at c5 feast

I was watching the tail end of the cruise at the feast and decided to go to my hotel. So the cruise was still coming in people doing burnouts left and right so when I take off to go the opposite direction of the cruise I catch some good first and second gear, no worries until about 5 minutes later at the light waiting for the cruise to end a cop pulls up and tells me to get out of the car. I thought he was going to say calm it down a little, mind you burnouts are still going on in the cruise behind him, and he said for what you did I should take you to jail. He named off 4 laws I broke but when I heard jail I didnt hear the rest. Keep in mind people are still going by and yes they are still burning the tires in the cruise. He had me sweating it for a few minutes then decides to write me a ticket, he said for the least amount he could, I was like heck yeah after the jail thing any ticket would have been better. I live about 9 hours from valdosta and was by myself with less that a hundred dollars cash in my wallet so there would be no posting bail. Anyway people still doing burnouts and what not I even had them on my iphone video but I didnt argue. So now I gotta call today and see what my fine will be. This sh*t always happens to me. Am I the only one that got a ticket at the feast during the cruise? Someone told me they were doing 130mph with the cops to catch up with some other cars life sucks better wear a helmet.

I dont think thats what he was trying to say. I think he was just asking if he was singled out or if others got in trouble too.

Um...just because other people are doing it at C5Fest doesn't make it legal to do so. You're pretty lucky he cut you the break rather than giving you a reckless driving or similar ticket.

Yeah, some of the cops were walking the parking lot talking about giving tickets for illegal tint. Others got tickets in the parking lot for open container before the cruise. Some were just real nice others were well let's just say not nice. The cop that went 130 was a cool guy, a police escort at 130 is pretty cool

You'd think they'd have a little pow-wow before-hand and agree on how they all wanted to handle different situations the same way...

How can you give a ticket for illegal tint when the laws for tint vary from state to state? I think Nevada allows 15% tint in the front for example... I'm sure those tickets wouldn't hold up in court if you are allowed to have tint in your front windows in your state of residence...

As far as I know they cant ticket you for tint unless you're actually driving on the roadway.
