Strut Tower Brace

Looking at some pics of the engine bay, it looks like fitting a strut tower brace may interfere with the hood struts. Has anyone else noticed that? For anyone who has seen it in person, do you think strut tower bracing is possible?

I do not know too much about these, but I would say no. Only thing I can think of is remove the hood strut and install a new one going horizontal across the front of the car near the grill. But maybe it could fit as-is.

I don't think so.
If you can see in any pictures....there are indentations in the hood to make room for the strut towers, since they're so high. A strut tower brace isn't going to fit in there.

Just looked at the SEMA pic's again and didn't see it there... but there IS a pic of it in the Feb edition of Hot Rod Magazine. It's a 4 point tower brace that looks like it is welded in to the side of the towers in about the same place as the arms are at in the other cars. The GS racer has a different hinge than the other cars so it doesn't have the arm bolting to the tower like they do. Wish I had a pic of it online somewhere.

The hood is different. They more than likely have removed the strut. It's got pins all alig the front

damn.... why does every thread seem so familiar....

oh.... riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight....

for a STB to fit it will either have to drop back away from the tower then go across, remove the hood strut completely, or replace the bracket with one on the STB (which I think would be cool)
