Just for my own assurance...the reluctor wheel is the thing on the Crank that tells the computer where the shaft is in it's rotation...right? if not, then disregard the above...and I'll delete the post. |

yes, dragoneye, thats what it is and the LS9mhas one just like every other v8 GM uses now. its mounted to the rear of the crank in its normal position. look close, youll see how theres a portion of material visible near the floor in the pic when the counterweight is closer to the ceiling, thats the reluctor wheel, notice it has holes in it

I'd LOVE to build my own engine!!! I know that I couldn't do as good a job as the machines and employees at the plants, but that would be so awesome!

That would be an awesome project. I don't know if I'd trust my life or my car to an engine that I built myself though.

Wonder if they will sell 6.2L conversion kits to make your own LS9

Looks like fun. Knowing me...I'd have those leftover parts we all ask about..."what's this? where's it go?" lol....No. That would be just plain fun to build.

They make everything into a crate motor, I think. Ecotecs, Northstars, V6's and the LS series are all availible through GMPP
