2013 Camaro 2SS
I just ordered a 2013 2SS in Inferno Orange Metallic last night. Got the navigation, RS package, orange interior accents and dual-mode exhaust.
I was pretty much sold on the 1LE package before I ordered it (only thing I didn't like was the black hood and the lack of the option for the orange interior accents). However, when I got to the dealer, the dealer pretty much did everything he could to talk me out of it. I was really surprised that 1) he didn't want me to spend more money and 2) that I gave in. Now I am having some second thoughts. I doubt I will ever take the car to a track, but I love the 1LE wheels and some of the other improvements. The dealer said that the 1LE tires wear extremely quickly. Is this even in comparison to the RS tires? Has anybody actually driven a 1LE for a comparison to a normal SS (I've read most of the professional reviews, looking for a candid real person review)? The dealer said that the ride comfort on a 1LE would be worse than the normal SS, but I have no way to tell how "bad" it would actually be. I am coming from a 1976 Chevy Truck, 1994 Trans Am, and 2006 2500HD Silverado. Any insight on my questions would be appreciated. |

Never driven one but I do believe the tires are the same as those on the ZL1, not sure if same widths but I'm pretty sure they're the same tires so yes they will wear a lot faster.
Isn't the suspension stiffer than that on the SS? so yea the ride comfort would be 'worse' if thats how you perceive it. Or it would be better if you prefer the new suspension. Correct me if I'm wrong |

If worse ride is characterized by "stiffness", all of my current cars ride fine to me and I am sure the two trucks are stiffer than the 1LE.
Is the actual tire compound different between the ZL1 tires and the RS package summer tires? |

If you want to read a good article about the 1LE, written by a member of C5, follow this link; http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=246800
I think it will sell you on the 1LE package.

If you want the 1LE, then call them and tell them to add it while you got the chance. Once they get to a certain point in the order process, it's too late.
Don't settle. If you WANT a 1LE, then get what you want. Remember, the dealer isn't going to be living with the car, you are. Make YOU happy, not them.

you can probaly change ur order i def would. maybe even drop some extras so you can get new tires and or wheels for the cold weather. my guess is that the ride will def be better than what you have now moslty because is not as "seasoned" as ur current rides

Suggestion. Tell that dealer to cancel your order and find another one cuz it sounds like this one is full of crap.

total dealer bs. there is no way your order has been processed since last night. tell them you got a better deal up the street at another dealer they will literally be floating in the air asking you if they are jumping high enough for you
