L99 you need to drive a real SS, why do you think I traded to a 2012 LS3 from an L99 no pull in the high end piece of auto crap.

Maybe I should think of an upgrade to 3.91 gears?
Of course it my best friend and all in good fun but deep down its for real! I would really like to beat him!

It's really as simple as power to weight ratio, gearing and aero. Even with the mods in your first post a LS3 Vette will have the advantage or be equal in all those areas. Go ahead and race because you might beat the driver but car for car even with those mods the Vette still has the advantage. It's a 600lb difference which is huge and those mods aren't enough to overcome it. Anyone who has congrats because you we're the better driver. I had a friend with a 4th gen that would constantly beat C5's but it wasn't because he had a faster car. It was because he was a damn good driver. Look at it this way, a ZL1 has 580HP and weighs about 4100lbs. A narrow body LS3 Vette has 430HP and weighs 3200lbs. The ZL1 is about even or maybe a tenth quicker despite having 150 more HP!!!!!!

Really, you agree...

So a car with a tune and different exhaust... of course Deki did not state full or axle is not same same.

Stock is as purchased from factory.

Tune is not from factory neither is a full exhaust upgrade.

Plus when racing at a 1/4 mile track, the driver has allot to do with it.

I would much wrather have a Corvette than a Mustang GT. The Corvette is a much better road course car stock than the straight axle GT.

We don't even know if the 'vettes have the LS2 or the LS3. It makes a difference.

Equal driver skills, you will not beat the stock LS3 powered Corvette in any kind of race with the mods you listed.

I traded my 2009 LS3 6MN in for the 2013 2ss. I have to say that with just intake mod that I have the Camaro is not even close to my stock LS3 C6. Vette has bigger tires, 3200-3300 pounds.

You can look me up at the corvette forum. My user name is cc_corvette.

Vette has bigger tires? Doesn't vette have 19" wheels stock?

This isn't Dub forums so we're talking width in which case the Corvette has a wider tire.
