Honestly...... I heard this expression at a christmas get together and I'm not sure what to think.

I'm a pretty good "screaming lead" player and it just didn't sound right when I heard it come out of his mouth.
What do you guys think?

Though it is a fun game, I just don't see why someone wouldn't just spend that time learning to play a real electric guitar.

The only thing I can rip on Guitar Hero is the chord out of the game system.

Love guitar hero and am pretty good at it. I played guitar for quite a while (by no means am I an expert) but can easily get into the groove w/ guitar hero. Love some of the songs they are coming out with on this game!

Im not so good at the game, but i play it on easy and love the songs, tho they need some more 80's rock.

Well...some people just aren't that musical and will NEVER rip no matter how LONG they practice...so I could see children and special people prefering it...and it may in fact encourage many people to take the plunge and buy a real guitar..which would be the best thing the game could induce...IMO.

I've heard some cool songs in the store on demo...so yup. Good music is ALWAYS good music.

You know whats funny? I know 4 guitarist and they all hate guitar hero, im not saying u play guitar hereo becuase u suck at real guitar, but its a funny correlation

I thought this game was the stupidest thing a developer could possibly come out with.

...so, fast-forward a couple years (I think), and explain to me why I'm ripping it up on guitar hero!

I bought it for my 13yr old this Christmas. We were playing it and she beat me then I beat her. Then her boyfriend came over. Yeah he ripped it alright. Her torn mt arse up and completely whipped my but.

My son can play just about anything on a guitar...He tells me he can't play guitar hero for squat. I guess they're 2 different animals.
