GM gets the Indy job....again!
http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/27/t...uding-e85-z06/
GM has provided the Indy Pace Car for the last 11 years....12, counting this latest one..... The Vette has done it for the 4 years straight (soon to be 5), and again in '02 (the string of Corvettes being interrupted in '03 by the SSR). The pace car has come from GM every year since '96 and in the last 50 years of Indy, the pace car has been a non-GM vehicle only 14 times..... Why don't they just start calling this the General Motors 500? LOL. |

It's good to see that GM gets respect for its cars. How is the selection made?

Those are both beautiful!!!
I'm glad to see GM dipping their toes into performance-oriented E85 vehicles. Damn good PR, and really shows a sort of "why can't fast be 'green'" attitude. |

E85 has no real point, but 90% of this environmental stuff is all smoke and mirrors anyway, so bravo GM. Earn those free CAFE points.

That's exactly what I was saying when we were arguing about global warming.

YOWZA!!! Those are gorgeous. I, too, can't wait to see the 2010 Camaro pace car. Sure it'll be reminiscent of the 1st Gen...orange and white. |
