I follow a similar practice on buying things. Luckily I had $ in the bank when the opportunity came up.

That's been the reason for the install wait... Had some other expenses come up, and needed to refill the "fun money" account.

Another week isn't gonna kill me. But damn I hate waiting!!

It's the best way to do it. We're not doing so well business wise at the moment so I'm glad I got the deal when I did.

If this was a new whipple, I would have installed in the next damn day. But since they are going to be nuts, bolts, random hoses missing, I decided it was worth it to pay someone. Plus, I don't have the tune either, so no matter what, I'd have to take it somewhere for a tune.

Made sense to let the guys who uninstalled it, reinstall it.

Went with jannetty for my tuning needs. Just ordered the Sct iTSX tuner, which uses your iPhone/iPad etc as the tuner. Read some good reviews and went for it! It will arrive tomorrow, so that will entertain me until Monday! Woot!!

Yes sir, according to sct's website it will work!

The app has a demo mode, which you can play with without the obd2 transmitter piece, or even have it hooked to the car. It looks pretty amazing, and very simple. (At least the apple version)!

The saga continues.... Went for install day # 235897345204 yesterday, and ran into another issue.

I have had all sorts of connection problems with my iTSX, so I was on the phone a lot with SCT. I tried 4 different computers over the last few weeks, and finally was able to update the device, and even load my tune onto it. Well, then I went out to the car, to make sure it would upload the tune, and sure as sh*t, the device it dead.... No lights, no nothing., ****ing dead.

Got back on the horn with SCT, do more troubleshooting, and decide that its a brick. Send it back for warranty repair.... But wait, closed from the 20th-2nd of January for the holidays.

Got on the horn with Janetty this AM, and they are taking care of the entire situation with SCT, new tuner will be here Tuesday.

3rd time is the charm? We will get this beotch wrapped up this week. Come hell or high water....

I want a carburetor and a GM HEI ignition, JASON.

sorry to hear that jason, I had issues with my HPT cable and had to send it back, took 3 weeks before I got my new one back.

Thanks Joe. Ted Janetty and all the people at SCT have been great. I must of called them 50 times, and everyone was really nice and worked hard to find a solution. Just had crappy luck with this tuner.

New one will be here in a few days and we'll get everything wrapped up. Just in time for Xmas burnouts.
