Lowering Alignment Issue

Lowered my SS this past Saturday using the Pfadt springs with 1.25" drop. I had the car aligned yesterday and asked the shop to set front camber at -0.8 and rear at -0.6. The front was no issue but the rear adjustment maxed out at -0.9. Has anybody else had an issue getting the rear camber adjusted?

That is a problem on the camaro, the lower it goes the more adjustment it needs.Pedders makes a cam kit that helps get more adjustment. If needed pm me we have them in stock.

Thanks Raymo1. I'm going to watch my tire wear and if becomes an issue I'll pick up the adjustment bolts.

I thought the camber kit was only needed if you drop over 1.25. I didn't think it was an issue with a 1.25 drop.

It is an issue with any drop. I have seen
Camaros only able to get -1.3 degrees as the lowest negative cambers.

If lowered....does is need to be adjusted to -0.8 and -.06? Is there any issue with it being set at the max of -0.9?

With only drop coils or coil overs, we have found by testing, the best handling can be obtained by putting the front cambers to -1.0 and he rears to -.5. This seriously helps the understeer concerns.

Plus adding more front caster is a big help as well.

I had the same issue. In fact even with the pedders alignment kit I could only get - 1 degree or so.

I ground out the toe and camber slots to get that last little bit. Then I sectioned my BMR lowers to pull the camber in more.
Now its OK! I can get to about - .3 if I need to.

We have NEVER had an issue getting cambers more positive than -.5 with our Pedders eccentrics. I have been involved with quite a few installs. I was unaware of length variations with the BMR units.

How low did you drop your rear and what else have you done to the suspension upgrades? If you lok at the WD40 Camaro, we dropped the back end over 2 inches, and could have set the rear cambers to 0.

One last note is that the trailing arm really does not have much influence on camber. Toe definetly, but not camber

Yes I do. With the exception of our coil spring drop kits, all other lowering kits include the adjusters
