It depends... not too bad. I have been consistently placing pretty well. I have three 5th place finishes and one 3rd place finish so far... BUT with that said... I think that my car is a little bit to big/heavy for Autocross. It doesn't mean it's not fun. The cars that beat me this time: evo x, bmw 125i, miata, and mazda speed 3.

I had the aggressive street alignment. Check out Pete's posts. I forgot where he has the stats for it. Sorry. Thanks for the compliment...

Front/Rear Neg camber toe out.....stuff like that.

Your car looks like it had better stick than in previous vids. Good Run!

Do the WRXs and Hondas kick your arse?

Yeah how about those miatas? I've seen and have been passed by miatas in the turns on big tracks.......its annoying, and the camaro is a heavy car, like 2 tons. Porsche 914s work really good! I saw one in the background. Light mid engine..Porsche suspension.

I admire your driving. I have never done an autocross as I don't think I could see the turns and I'd just end up running over cones all day long. I guess I need the red and white striped curbs or something.

Keeping posting more vids and maybe I'll get it. Thx

That camaro had some serious stick.....-2.4 very cool!
The track looked like spring mountain in parumph NV.

Just down the street is the famous chicken ranch (brothel)

The next you time run, try this set-up.....ask for more neg camber and toe out in the front.......see how you like....it should stick almost like the red car. And take a vid...so I can see. Just don't drive your street tires on that set-up for too long....they will wear funny.

That red car handles totally better than the ZL1 in the VIR vid....night and day.

Front

Cambers to -2.4 degrees
Caster 7.5 to 8.0. Requires Pedders Caster eccentrics
Toe .25 degees toe out each wheel. (This setting should not be used for the street)

Rear
Camber -1.2 degrees, Required Pedders rear eccentrics
Toe .05 toe in each wheel.

Made it out to my first autocross event today. I had a blast. It was only a preseason event, but I can't wait for next week to try an actual grouped event. My times were pretty competitive for what I was up against. And I was consistently pulling 1.1-1.15 G's in the slalom.

Good lookin run! That course didn't look like much fun for a Camaro though... I hope you get to hit the gas and brakes more in your next events.

Lionel go grab a 7:30 setup for this Sunday. We had to both drop out due to Reagan Lacrosse has some play-off games! Wish speedster Keith some good luck speeding around a field rather than track.

Oh btw what's with us doubling up on clubs this year? Any idea?

Not necessarily AutoX, but at least a GoKart Race Track... not that kind of territory you'd expect to spot Camaros - but it was fun afterall

Lol the track is hardly wider than the car. That looks like a blast!

AutoCross and Nannies

I am doing my first AutoCross next week.

I assume you are leaving all the traction control and stabilization stuff on, right? That must help on an autocross.
