Magnaflow Comp Axle Back Before/After Magnaflow X-pipe

Here is a vid of before/after I installed a Magnaflow X-pipe on my car with a Magnaflow Competition axle back. Without the X-pipe the exhaust was really loud and with the x-pipe it toned it down considerably. Sounds much more like it should from the factory!

[u2b]put in alpha numeric code from you tube here[/uXb] For your video the code is BbcRPMtkZ0s which shows up after the = mark. Also put a 2 where the X is for the last part of the code.

Sounds great, where did you get the Magnaflow "X" pipe and how much was it? I did a muffler delete, and I think it will sound better and reduce "popping" with the "X" pipe.

IRC - Thanks for the tip, that helps!

FFPM73 - I picked up the X-pipe 10791 on eBay for $71.50 from performance peddler and clamps from Summit. Total time to put the X-pipe in was ~ 1.25 hours while keeping an eye on my boys!

Rex113 - Thanks for the laugh. I was laughing too when he did that. I actually cut him out on the end of the vid when he was running around with he hands on his ears screaming "daddy that is way loud!"

Rich dude - I will see if I can get my wife to capture a vid of a take off and stop. I can snag an in car capture too. It'll take me a few day here since we have had some rain, etc.

So this is basically a mufler delete? Sounds great...How in the heck did you
get rid of the popping?

Nahurry - it is a Magnaflow muffler delete and their X-pipe in the stock mid-tubes. The popping is still there when you are down shifting or just decellerating due to the fact that GM is randomly turning off injectors to help with fuel conservation, hence causing other unspent fuel to ignite in the exhaust pipes. I have a similar event happening on my corvette when I blow a header gasket and it sucks air into the tubes... Actually I kind of like the popping sound on it, but if it has been programmed to do this and you don't like it, I bet it could be tuned out so it doesn't do it....
