probably not "that much" $$ wasted on development...isn't it already an existing model in Australia?

It is a vehicle already available in Austrialia, they really arent losing much at all, and lets be honest, while it looked cool does anyone think that thing REALLY would have sold?
IMO in these times, good move GM.

They've finally decided to shrink Pontiac to just one or two performance cars...so it makes no sense to give it anymore new vehicles. Not a surprising move. I actually thought this car was killed a while ago....

(From the S.D.A.S.) My first reaction was "Urgh", so I'm kinda glad.... the El Camino had its time, and it has now passed. While I don't doubt some people would have bought this car, I don't think it would have been worth it for GM to go ahead with it. I think the niche of buyers would be too narrow. It's not a mass appeal vehicle anymore.

Right now it's an '03 Nissan Frontier Supercharged Desert Runner I call Starscream. On order is a 1SS/ RS IBM with Black Rally Stripes, Beige Interior, manual transmission and a sunroof! Oh, and a stereo upgrade too! Ordered from CamaroScotty in WI. How will I get my baby home? |

Good move. It was just another SSR. Aside from the Vette, any non commercial vehicle GM is considering building should pass the 150,000 units a year smell test before going to prod.

The need to revive the SyTy. If Harlye Davidson F-150s and Lightnings still have a market sector, you can bet your ass the SyTys would.

just can't seem to leave

i always thought that thing was anyway. i could see SyTys making a comeback. we already know that, with some work, an LS block'll fit in a Colorado/Canyon.
http://www.v8s10s.com/colorado-ss/id9.html now to just make a Jimmy version of it. the Envoy is too big & ugly

I actually kinda liked it but to continue on with GM's decision It was still a good move. No way in hell that car was gonna sell and actually be worth it. Because while I liked it, I would have never bought it. I would get the G8 well before I bought that Sport Truck. |
