Hampton Roads/Virginia Beach Holiday Meet!
I've been toying with the idea of having a meet and figured I should just go ahead and start it. One of the local shops here is Mitchum Motorsports who just moved into a brand new facility and mentioned that they want to start holding some Cars & Coffee and forum type meet and greets. Mitchum Motorsports has been campaigning 2 full time Camaro GS.R's in the GRANd-AM Championship for the past 3 years. They have a 25,000sq/ft shop with office and plenty of parking on the weekends to fit a ton of cars. They are located in Virginia Beach right by the Norfolk Airport. This is by no means a car specific only meet, so even if you don't have a BMW you are welcome to come and hang out!
Sunday December 9th @ 10AM Location: Mitchum Motorsports 5898 Thurston Ave Virginia Beach, VA What to expect: - Fresh Coffee and Donuts - Various racecars in and outside of the shop - Locals getting together at a safe location to check out cool cars - Chris Mitchum (owner of Mitchum Motorsports) said the office will be open with TV running with episodes of Top Gear, various GRAND-AM race coverages, and potentially even personal tours of some racecars and secret projects going on Here is an image of where the shop is located, right off of I-64 and Hwy13/Northhampton Blvd right by the Norfolk Airport. Here is what the front of the shop looks like with a couple of cars that were there and a google street view. There is a TON of parking on weekends for hundreds of cars, especially just across the street in an open and safe parking lot. Let me know if you guys have some ideas for the meet! Let's see how many cars we can get to come out! Hi Jeff, through the door into the main garage area on the right of the pic you can see them. Hi Joey, wish I could make it, but it's a hell of a commute! I visited the shop when I was down this summer. Wasn't quite finished yet but most everything was moved in except for office area. Tell Trevor and Chris that Mark from NY says hi. See them at Watkins next June.

The Camaro's are used quite often so they don't get into the showroom much. I went out back to snap a picture for you how the #62 sits as of right now. Ready to go fast!
It'd be great to have some Camaro's out here on Sunday. We've got lots of Subaru's, BMW's, and even the brand new Scion FR-S' are looking to come out. Joey |

It would be fantastic if you guys all came out! I'm looking forward to seeing how many different types of cars will be showing up. So far we've got everything from 20 year old BMW M3's to hopefully some brand new Camaro's and the brand new Scion FR-S, talk about some diversity!
