picture of exposed carbon fiber on ZL1

got these pics at the rolex 24 today when the hood was open, see the carbon fiber weave. not too impresed with the carbon fiber, the top was painted.

The carriage looks fairly new... are those rusty exhaust hangers expected? Looks like they could eat through the pipe early. Any idea how to prevent that?

Remember these are pre production cars. The normal production 5th gens, hangers look much better around the welds. Both my 5th gen cars still look new after two years of sitting out in the elements.

Don't forget, surface rust is good for some of the exhaust parts. Prevents further corrosion.

surface rust(protective oxide layer) is one thing, galvanic corrosion on a weld joint is another.

I hope some aftermarket company will make a carbon fiber engine cover. Or maybe just a different color.

See what a tiny bit of exposure to road salt can do?
Mine will never see winter.
