Tried my drive on ramps yesterday to install my skip shift eliminator. The ramps hit the front bumper area about 6" - 8" from the wheel. I have the set from NAPA. Had them for 7 years now. But a floor jack worked just fine. Just use jack stands for safety.
Or build yourself a set of step ramps. The ramps step up gradually. Just use 2x10's for the ramps. But I feel that these style ramps will be long and heavy. But, if your under your car alot it might be worth the expense, time and backpain, rather than going to the dealer.

My ramps have removable extensions, I am eager to see if the front will clear. I also wonder if those 245's will fit on the ramp...

I did the 2x10 step ramps, works perfectly and used them for yrs. Cars just drive right up.

Low Profile Ramps
I am looking for some low profile ramps that the Camaro and Corvette will clear without dragging any part against the ramp. Any ideas?
