While trying to flick my high beams, I accidently downshifted... after that, I accidently turned on my windshield wipers and got a little wiper fluid on my windshield... By then, it was too late. I should've waved.

I think it's not fair to accuse people of being "Camaro snobs" for not responding. When I used to drive an Audi S4, I would see that other S4 owners on forums would also be bothered when their lights-flash or wave wasn't acknowleged.

The thing is, for a a lot of people who buy Camaros, Audi S4s, or whatever... Well, they just simply bought a nice car. They bought nice transportation. But they are not necessarily car people, Camaro people, and they don't care if somebody else bought the same car and aren't looking for the sense of community that others are.

For each Camaro enthusiast on here that are part of the Camaro community and following, there are probably 500 to a 1000 Camaro owners that don't care. Heck, I love my SS and I think these cars are damn sexy beasts, but I don't care when I see other Camaros and I don't feel connected to other owners in any way. Well, I saw an SS yesterday and kept up with it, but the only thing that made me want to pay attention was that there was a woman driving it and I was trying to check if she was hot or not.

Anyway, I think it's great to have that sense of ownership and community that Corvette owners enjoy, the vast majority of Corvette owners are strong enthusiasts. That sense of community brings us this forum, great meetup and enthusiast groups, etc... But when I randomly come across people who don't feel that way, that's just the way it rolls; not everybody is an enthusiast.

Here's a few of the early threads on here discussing this very thing:

Number 1

Number 2

Number 3

Number 4

I quit looking through the 16 pages of search results, and randomly saw these two also:

Number 5

Number 6

I wave at all I can see. Sometimes I dont see the Camaro until it passes. So I wouldnt put to much in someone not waving. Some people are pre occupied with other things.

So keep the wave on, and just because someone does not wave does not mean they are doing it on purpose.

I gave my first flash and wave the other day to another fellow Camaro. I got a nice wave back. I was so happy that I giggled all the way home. Flashing is easier when you're busy turning and shifting.
