There are no names, but I would guess, they check against registered names at check in.

You still have to register when you arrive, they will be checking names at that time, is my guess.

Those BBOMG ones should not be an issue thou.

I am unaware of charity passes. But I don't need to be, there may have been an agreement established before hand...not my business.

I do know - that there is a locked-in registration with names. When you arrive. If your name is not on the registration, you will not be able to get in. They were very clear about that.

Alternate Route:

I know they suggest you to go Gratiot then Grand and then wiggle to Jefferson and hit the island from the opposite direction. I am going to recommend a longer much nicer drive.
- From Downtown 94 East to 9 mile.
- From the suburbs 696 to 94 West to 9 Mile.
- Exit at 9 mile and head East.
- 9 mile East until you dead end into Jefferson and take a right.
- Jefferson to Belle Isle.

This will take you through the Grosse Pointes right along the Lake St.Clair shore line. There is a little construction on Jefferson once you hit Detroit, but there are still two lanes open each way.

Just a thought for the out of towners looking for some scenery. You can take that out of Belle isle for a nice evening drive too.

They are also suggesting this route due to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® event at Chene Park

I was suggesting an alternative to the suggested route with a nice ride along the lake. If you take the recommended route you will get a good shot of some serious Detroit ruin porn and get there faster. Either way will work. Just a suggestion.

Many from the Detroit 5th Gen Camaro club are meeting at a certain time in a certain location and traveling in together at a certain time. Without regards to anything posted about the race, or times.
