There are no names, but I would guess, they check against registered names at check in.

I am unaware of charity passes. But I don't need to be, there may have been an agreement established before hand...not my business. I do know - that there is a locked-in registration with names. When you arrive. If your name is not on the registration, you will not be able to get in. They were very clear about that. |

Alternate Route:
I know they suggest you to go Gratiot then Grand and then wiggle to Jefferson and hit the island from the opposite direction. I am going to recommend a longer much nicer drive. - From Downtown 94 East to 9 mile. - From the suburbs 696 to 94 West to 9 Mile. - Exit at 9 mile and head East. - 9 mile East until you dead end into Jefferson and take a right. - Jefferson to Belle Isle. This will take you through the Grosse Pointes right along the Lake St.Clair shore line. There is a little construction on Jefferson once you hit Detroit, but there are still two lanes open each way. Just a thought for the out of towners looking for some scenery. You can take that out of Belle isle for a nice evening drive too. -Geoff

They are also suggesting this route due to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® event at Chene Park

I was suggesting an alternative to the suggested route with a nice ride along the lake. If you take the recommended route you will get a good shot of some serious Detroit ruin porn and get there faster. Either way will work. Just a suggestion.

Many from the Detroit 5th Gen Camaro club are meeting at a certain time in a certain location and traveling in together at a certain time. Without regards to anything posted about the race, or times.
