PULLED OVER FOR WHAT!!!!! IN FLORIDA... - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I was on a main road in the left hand turning lane waiting to take a left hand turn with another car in front of me also waiting to turn. We had a green light but not the arrow. So we were waiting for on coming traffic to pass. All of the on coming traffic went by and it was all clear. The car in front of me did not move and after about 3-4 seconds I beeped my horn (just a quick beep, I did not lay on the horn) after I beeped the car took the left and I followed. As we took the left I saw a cop to my left with waiting to go straight. He did a uturn and followed me and I wondered if he was after me. The lights came on and he pulled me over. He asked me for my reg and insurance and told me that he pulled me over for an illegal use of a horn. WOW! I had no idea you could not use the horn in that case. He did not give me a ticket, I think because when he ran my info he saw the last time I had a speeding ticket was 1988. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I can't say I have ever heard of that, I didn't relize you couldn't use the horn to wake up dumbass drivers for not paying attention.

The horn is there to warn someone on something important (usually to help avoid an accident). You can't use the horn to notify someone to go faster or to "wake up."
