just wondering if anybody has done there own tuning with something like a hypertech unit or something .

you cant make your own tune with hypertech, you can just change a few little things like fan temps and speedo,, if you want to do real tuning you need hptuners or efilive

I'll be doing mine with a Predator once its released by DiabloSport. I'm not keen enough on tuning to jump into HP Tuners or EFI Live just yet.

hptuners here. however i'm thinking about purchasing efilive. they seem to have much better luck with the e38 pcm.

I ordered the HP Tuners software. Cant wait to start playing. I have tuned various EFI systems on the dyno but never tuned a car. I have a bit of a learning curve ahead of me but its like anything else you do. Do the research, learn as much as you can and GO FOR IT! I cant wait to make this transmision shift like it should. It feels like shit on the bottom of the gear changes right now.

I have been trying to find a spare PCM but cant seem to find one. I want to flash/play around with the "spare" and keep the original for a "back up" for obvious reasons. Anyone know where to pick up a spare PCM?????

You can buy the pcm from the dealers for around 250 i think right now!
