I don't think you are raggin on me ..its all good. I'm not raggin either..

I get that part...thats why its called extrapolation, or estimating and not factual information.
The world would quickly come to a halt if it weren't for estimates and mathematical extrapolation.

As a matter of interest, the inumbers has already changed since I did my extrapolation.
However, Even if two times more people on the site say they are buying for sure, its still just a spit in the bucket, and doesn't amount to any significant quantity of (preorder) sales.

This poll is exclusive of all outside information, the rest is just a guess on my part, cause if anyone has facts about the future I'm lookin for some lotto numbers....

Two questions:

1. You are introducing the concept of "limited supply" when Al O has said it would NOT be limited production.... ??? hmmmmm I think this is the first termite in the availability question...

2. FF discount.. understand why this won't apply, BUT....
could it ensure you at least GET ONE even at Full Sticker??

I think you may be reading too much into FBodFather's comment of:

"Doubtful for the first year - limited supply."

Think about it......The ZL1 is slated for deliveries in "Late 1st Quarter" and the factory stops producing that year's run in Summer right? So the 2012 will only be in production for what......3-4 months?

2012 ZL1's may be scarce, but that will probably just be due to the short amount of time that they'll be produced.

I thought they shut the factory down sooner, I've been thinking this way from the beginning. However, 'father is the only one who can answer that... I think that'll all change for '13 though

Has anyone already decided to avoid all the hassle and ‘just wait’ for 2013 or will that depend if you can get a 2012 at MSRP?

I’m all for the 2012 if I can get one at MSRP but if that doesn’t come easy I think I won’t mind waiting for 2013. It is only a few months and maybe there will be some minor upgrades. Either way I’ll be happy once a ’12 or ’13 ZL1 is sitting in my garage.

Camaro production ended in early July for the 2011 model. The 2012 model production started on Monday, July 18, 2011, and, I think, the factory was shutdown for one or two weeks prior to that for the change over from the 2011 to the 2012 model production.

Well, if we dont get a intial allocation model, we most likely will have to wait 3 months for our custom order to arrive..... say MaY. Well Imagine if you could get a 2013 in August!! With 2013 improvements.... possibly rear window rolldown, 2300 supercharger, cam improvement, color improvement. Might be worth an extra 3 month wait.......

Making me a little less fanatic about getting a first run 2012.... Either exceed my expectations, but waiting would take away the stress and politics of getting a first allocation model.... thoughts>??

Yup, this fits me. I want to save for an entire to have a substantial downpayment. Also, I'm hoping the 2013's will be tweaked to account for bugs, if any, in the first run.

As long as the money's there...I'm going to try my hardest to get one asap. (April-May is the goal).

That's when winter finally lets go for good around here. It starts getting green and warm in mid March...but the chance for that 'final storm' doesn't go away until late April. Soooo....I WANT IT FOR THE SUMMER!!!!!! Every month I lose is a month I get upset...I've waited 6 years for this car, dammit, I can't wait noes more!!!!
