Read the thread. The most complaints are about probably not being able to fit golf clubs. Which is an issue given the size of the golfing community.

Sorry man you gotta admit that at least up until 98, that's one ugly mofo. The reface helped a bit, but most everyone I knew at the time thought it was the ugly baby of the competition of the time. For me it mean character - the WS6s added so much ugly, it looked mean. |

Hey, I happen to really like the 4 eyed 4th gens.

It took me quite a few years to learn to like the 4th gen, but I eventually did. These days I even like it more than the 3rd gen.
The trunk was a design compromise that ought to be ok. I suspect that the golf issue was well considered, and the nice thing about groceries is that they fit through a small opening.

Actually, I love the early model 4th Gens...and my old roomate had a 97. LOVED that flat look on the hood w/ the rectangular lights. Then came the curvy hood. I didn't like it. But, over time, it grew on me....kinda like the front end (grill) of the 5th Gen. Now, I LOVE the looks of the 4th Gen. Yes, I'll agree that the huge nostrils on the WS6 are bad ass....but hey, I love my 4th Gen. Next time you see an SS fly up behind you with that big ole' air scoop, let me know what you think!

i find it funny how big of an issue golf is, aside from mini-golf i didnt think it was that popular. and if getting the bags to fit in the camaro is an issue, just make the other guy drive as most people bring up fitting 2 sets and second person in the car

The golf bag is an issue because it represents large packages that are put into the trunk, Having a really small opening in the trunk really prevents the usefullness of that large trunk, the passthroughs are manditory for putting medium sized suitcases and other large items in. The general public is going to see this as a huge issue, in which they will run over to the Chrystler dealer, see the Challenger as having a large trunk and more backseat room for just a little more coin and make the purchase there.
To be perfectly honest, this trunk issue might just cause me to purchase another car. That opening is microscopic, especially for a daily driver or someone like me that carries tools and such around to jobsites on occasion. |

OK I don't care about the trunk not holding golf clubs anymore...I just shot the worst game ever on Saturday, lost 8 balls and broke my 7 iron. I'm done playing for a while...arrrggghhhh.

I really don't think the opening is all that small. I don't see why you couldn't angle the clubs in. It wouldn't go directly in but if you but one end in first at an angle and pushed it towards the side of the car the bottom of the bag should fit. Don't make me do some math to figure it out!!!!!
edit: nevermind. I don't think the clubs will even fit in the trunk. I don't think the opening is necessarily the problem but the trunk doesn't even seem big enough. Last edited by UCF w00t; 12-15-2008 at 09:01 PM. |
