I'm not going to the Fest.. but I love this idea. I'm a shopper..actively shopping but as op posted.. so many choices, combinations and youtube videos just don't cut the mustard.

Maybe we can get something like that setup at our Sunshine State Rally next month..

"It's not easy to here the exhaust for me anyway"? Is that what your drunk ass was trying to type?

I'm sure some vendors may want to get involved with this one too.

I know listening to an exhaust system live is the best to make a decision from. However, with all these cars doing this in a row, will anybody really be able to tell who is producing what sound.

Also, there are different sounds to me, idle and revving while in park, listening to it at speed while inside the Camaro with windows up and down. Then listening to it as others hear it when you blow by them at highway speeds.

So I am not sure this idea will work, but to each there own. Good Luck.

Another option for the V6 folks is to take a look and listen to this thread. This was started 2 years ago and has slowly accumulated every know combination to date that the V6 has to offer.

Thank - you to all the hard work by KMPrenger for keeping it up to date.

This is a great idea
If I am there I would demo

This is a tough one cause I think engine mods also come into play a little for guys and gals looking at just exhaust. But I am sure with this many camaros around you will hear it all. Also listen at the drags and if you hear something you like ask them

My set up will be
Whipple sc, long tube ARH, rotofab CAI, magna flow cat back center port exhaust

I like it. I'll treat you to a stock GM V6 sample all day. Have to turn the other cars off and be very quiet though.

To caveat, why not something like a "Rev Zone" as well like at F Body? No burn outs, just a dedicated "drive by" area and a 4k rev.

As time goes on I'll update the set-up info of those who will be there and willing. We have plenty of time.

Engine mods will surely play a roll. I do think that the exhaust systems will still manifest themselves enough to help a shopper and they could ask about drone and maybe even sit in the passenger seat of the car while the owner revs a little.

If it isn't easy to hear then it isn't the exhaust for me anyway.

Meaning if I can't hear it easily then I'd want a louder exhaust.

Sounds like a great idea, but here's a question. Do mufflers sound different with different brands of long tube headers?

I wish I could enter my car in, but there's no one in the world with an exhaust system like mine, nor will there be one.
