Agreed. The only point of contention there is that the 2nd ammendment IS a federal law...which would make it a federal responsibility to protect the right....if all things were perfect, they could probably even go after states who pass conflicting laws.

....aw, what I would give to live in a perfect world...

we're on the same side, but unless the Constitution explicitly gives the Federal government jurisdiction over such responsibilities, the state law will trump the Federal mandates.. most states are too chicken shit to forfeit federal money to stand for freedom, which is why people perceive Federal law being more powerful than state law

Fellas, I completely understand that it is difficult to talk about firearms right now without discussing politics. This thread will get very ugly if we begin down that road. Even I find it hard to keep myself from posting negatively towards politics when it comes to this subject. But we cannot start down this path.

I will reopen this thread shortly as a place to discuss firearms and the laws of firearms. I will not be opening it as a place to talk about lawmakers, please take any political discussion to PM's.

I have a Redfield 3-9x40, Warne low scope rings, and a black Andys Leather ching sling laying around. I need to pick a rifle to attach it all to...
