Oh i was under the impression that Ford was going to release the new Italian designed Mustang in early 2010 as a 2010 model.
How weird would that be, a car company actually naming the car's year, the actual year it comes out....LOL. The Auto industry is funny sometimes. So the new Mustang wont be around untill the 2012 car year then? Oh well. That gives the Camaro awhile to firmly establish its reputation.

2011 Mustang GT......
5.0L, DOHC, V8 producing at least 400hp and 360lb-ft of torque... 6-speed manual standard, 6-speed automatic standard.... SRA will carry over.... Expected weight ~3600lb for GT model well equipped.... How soon the 2011MY gets here will depend a great deal upon how soon Windsor finished it's 5.0L retool and ramp up, which is in progress as this is typed. The 2011MY wont start late, but it might start a little early. None of this is a guess....this is how it is going to happen. Also worth mentioning, the Italians have nothing to do with the design of the 2010+ Mustang. |

I'm actually looking forward to the eco-boost. A lot of the factory twin turbo engines produced to this point in time have been pretty damn nice or amazing (Grand National, Supra, 335i).

its all speculation.
no one really knows. One point worth mentioning... Quote:
22 less hp, and 50lbs less torque... even the new mustang wont even be able to keep up with the Camaro. And god knows Ford doesnt sell anything with 400hp for less than 37k so expect it to be overpriced. |

if its lighter it will be faster in the quarter. 22 hp aint going to be enough to beat it on the strip but on the highway that camaro will inch away because of the torque. and you forget if they replace prod of the 3v 46 with the 4v 50 then they can sell it for less cuz that engine will be going into f150s and anyother car that needs a v8

These are accurate minimum power ratings, not speculation.

2010 ford mustang
what do u guys think of the 2010 ford mustang ?
I have a question. how come Ford doesn;t use a better V6 engine than their 210 hp 4.0 liter ? why not just 3.7 Duratec making over 272 hp ?or the 3.5 duratec ? alot of people are looking for v6 instead of v8 for gas prices but their v6 just sucks balls. challenger 3.5 is better. camaro 3.6 far more better their 4.0 sucks. thank u |

its not all that different that the last few years, i prefer them to the 1970-2004 models tho. i'm not sure why they have that epic fail of a v6

Three reasons...it was cheap, available (in fact they needed an excuse to use excess production of the 4.0L) and they didn't really have any competition to worry about. Ironically the 4.0L is a great platform to build serious power on, unfortunately virtually nobody cared.
