Well, I'm with you on this. Change is not always bad (unless you see the current WRX STI ) Maybe we could round up a few and start a petition of sorts? Just a thought. I mean, if Chevy does not listen to their customers, who would they listen to then eh?

My response is not so nuetral and un-biased. They have no choice but to comply with the standards and parameters set by the gov. But with so many different makes and models going 'Green' I don't see why you would neuter the muscle car. If you want to tax me, then tax me. If I have to sacrifice something else to keep my RWD and big HP then I can make that decision when the time comes. At least keep it available to me. The vast, vast majority of the cars on the road are not high big performance and will continue to go 'greener' so IMO leave my muscle alone.
Let Chevy build 'green' into other Chevy models. |

If the 4.5L Diesel does in fact make it into production like they say, I think it will find it's way into many cars and trucks across the GM line. Including CTS(sedan and wagon), Tahoe and Silverado(and their siblings) and maybe the camaro

Looks like USA is the only country in the world where diesel is considered "green"!!! That's pretty funny!

Higher mpg's, and the possibilities of biodiesel puts it into the green category for many, unless they are the type to OCD about emissions.

irpq11- Just to be sure of the discussion here, I am keen on knowing why you see going green would neuter the muscle car?
You would not loose RWD and HP would only increase. What makes you think your muscle car would loose 'muscle' by going green? Zebra- Computer controlled fuel management systems seem like a good idea. |
