So pretty much... New intake, tune, and a new pulley will push it up to...650 horsepower???

That being said I have no doubt in my mind that this will be a great car, a GT500 is my next car though. Want something new and the Camaro needs a brother. If it's anything like the GT500 or the CTS-V (which it will be) then yeah it will be easy to bump up the horsepower |

Very pleased to hear 580. I was honestly hoping for just a little more, but that'll do.
Sport cup tires... Nice.($$$$) I'm really starting to get excited now!

I don't know, the PS2s are optional on the Z06 & ZR1. It would be reasonable to assume that they'd be optional on the ZL1 as well.

580hp.......SCHWING!!!!!
The coolness of the CUP tires though are offset by the cost of early replcement due to EXTREMELY low tread life......maybe they'll be optional. The only real concern I have is the weight......4,200lbs seems bit high to me considering that GM was trying to offset some of the necessary weight gain due to the blower & upgraded/stronger suspension components by saving weight were possible (lighter tires & wheels come to mind). I'm, hoping that 4,200lbs number was pulled out of thin air by Jloplink. I was hoping they would be able to keep it more around 4,000lbs.....I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we get the "real" weight from GM. Overall though.... Now I just have to be impatient over cost, options & colors!

According to the article though, the manual will have launch control and the auto will not. That "should" even things out a little. Don't you think?
