That's the best profile shot of a preproduction yet, and it is oh so sweet with those calipers!

Thank you GM

Soon there will be some vid of it tearing up the track. And hopefully there will be a noticeable whine as it flies by.

Hope to see some video soon.

GM tests alot of cars on the Ring now. The new Cobalt SS got lots of track time during development. I fyou want to test how well a car performs the Ring is one of the best if not the best place in the world.

I think this is the closest one to production yet. Did anyone notice the vented rear bumper and some sort of oil cooler right under the hitch maybe a rear diff cooler. Also the tail lamps are halogen not LEDs.

I'm not a big fan of the headlights or taillights anymore. I understan you have to have high and low beams as well as turn indicators, but come on guys. I have a great design idea if anyone knows Lutz's cell #.

:notheadlights: I thought we were over this.

Just kidding—I'm pretty sure the new ones are going to look like the concept. I'm sure you remember the thread about GMPP options. That one has a cutout of an optional grill with headlights. Take a look at those headlights.

These are probably shared with the new G8 GXP

If you look up the specs on the G8 GXP, it too has Brembo's on it, and I'd be willing to bet they are the same ones!

From the G8 GXP press release...

"The Brembo braking system matches the GXP's boost in performance with an equivalent increase in stopping power. The system includes 14-inch (355 mm) vented front and 12.76-inch (324 mm) rear disc rotors, with special quad-piston alloy calipers in front. The alloy calipers on the rear brakes have single-piston actuation. The four-wheel disc brake system includes standard anti-lock brakes and traction control."

And I second the significance of the Camaro spending time on the 'Green Hell'... Personally I want to hunt down M3's and the only way to do that is with a car that has power AND handling... and it looks like the Camaro will have BOTH!

I hope you guys understand the significance of this car being on the Nurburgring.
GM also tested the CTS-V here. And we all know how capable that car has been on the track. This is absolutely great news. Great article btw.

Yummy!

I needed this.

Bet it's part of the Z28's SS package. Similar to the G8 GXP - Brembo's.

Good work everyone.
