I dont know HOW much the Z28 will be, but I do know I have 12,000 and counting for the Down Payment :P The lower my car payments the better haha...but I would buy the 5th gen camaro if it was 70,000...I fell in love...I dont care if someone handed me an Enzo, I would sell it for this Camaro...and a house...and probably a 64 Impala...but you get the point

"2008 Chevrolet Camaro Prices: Expect Camaro coupes to start around $25,000 with the V-6, with top-of-the-line V-8 convertible versions breaking $40,000 fully equipped."-consumers guide
just read that in the consumers guide. so heres the new question how much more does a convertable typically cost? I just built two corvettes fully loaded at the chevy site. the convertable came to 66,495 and the coupe was 57,550. so theres bout a 9K differance from coupe to vert Last edited by TFord; 06-12-2007 at 01:04 PM. |

The cost for the vert option on the mustang is like 4-5k. I would assume this cost would go up with the engineering costs (ie corvettes weight, ect..)
Oh and Consumers Guide is dead wrong and just tossing out numbers, at those prices the camaro wont sell. Mustangs biggest seller is the base v6 coupe for roughly 20k, 5k more for a base v6 camaro coupe regardless of hp will be its death. People will buy something else based on the money alone. |

they said that it was the 250hp v6, Id assume that the gas friendly v6 would be closer to 20K

GM already produces a 6-cylinder that kicks out 302 HP. The inline 5-cylinder that they were using (don't know if they still are or not) in the smaller trucks, Trailblazers, and Envoys was putting out 275 (they're terrible on gas mileage though...I get almost the mileage in my Tahoe with the 5.3L V-8). A base V-6 will have to start around $20K and climb from there, depending on options. I'd say you'll get the big V-8 model fully loaded for around $40K. The "special" version, probably a year after the coupe comes out, will get up in the $45-$55K range (depending on options). In somewhat related news, I just read today that MT got their pricing wrong on the GT500KR (cover story a month or so ago)....the actual pricing will put a GT500KR well over $60K....can you imagine paying over $60K for a Mustang that isn't a vintage, mint condition, collectors car? |

what is bad business, is waiting for as long as they did to release the car!

Does the car have to be released in order to actually find out what they will cost or will they announce the price prior to release of the car on the market.
