Toyota recalls over 1.35 million vehicles...

http://www.forbes.com/2009/01/28/toy...markets05.html

Quote:
Toyota said Wednesday that it is recalling 1.4 million vehicles owing to concerns about flaws in their seat belts and exhaust pipes. Of those, 830,000 are the Yaris hatchback and sedan models sold in North America, Europe and other markets. A further 525,000 were sold in Japan under the brand names Vitz, Belta and Ractis. They were manufactured between January 2005 and April 2008. The company said it is mainly concerned about the risk of flammability of a safety component, the seat belt tensioner, in case of collision. For some cars sold in Japan, there is concern that an exhaust pipe may crack from heat.

That's a lie. First of all we all know that foreign cars don't break down, get 40 mpg, have double the HP of any comperable domestic car, cost half as much and have a 100 year 1 million mile warranty.

This is just a "get your free car wash special" Toyata is having to show their appreciation to those that buy their cars...

Hah! I hope it is all over the news! People need to see that Toyota is no better than most other major auto makers. And I love how it is the Yaris with the majority of problems, that car looks like a frickin egg on spare tires. And the engine gets a whopping 120-ish HP.

I thought Toyota didn't do recalls, just warranty enhancements.

BWAHAHAHA I can't wait to see Toyota run into financial trouble and look for loans themselves.

I saw it coming. Their cars suck, and their quality has plummeted.

I went to the Houston Auto Show today and sat in one ( I sat in probably half the cars there, took me 4.5 hours), and its drab, uncomfortable interior coupled with the embarassing HP/torque almost gave me a seizure! Camaro was great btw, I am still smiling uncontrollably and probably will be for a couple days lol!

Hmm. Keeping notes, I am....

Toyota. I'd like to thank you. You are doing far more PR damage to yourself than any rival could hope to do alone. Evidence of that is the title quoted by a well-respected business journal. This thank you is just a reminder of how much I appreciate your screw-ups.

And while I've got your ear...just how exactly do you set a seatbelt on fire?
