They are about performance....sure they enhance sound too but the purpose of these is not sound. Going with these SOLOs is 3/4s or more the equivalent of installing long tube headers. Doing any kind of exhaust is pretty much all about sound because the performance gains are minimal at best.
KM, could you combine these with a catback, like my MRT?

No problem....they are made to bolt right up to stock, so I don't see why they couldn't work for any exhaust made to fit stock.

So this is great if your getting JBA shorties, but if you want LT....this is probably out, correct?

Your right about the LTs.

But if your someone who is currently stock, and want to do shorties, and then do these HFCs...you really should just do long tubes up front. Less cost, less hassle, the same power gains.

Otherwise if you currently have shorties and don't want to through the hassel of removing them for long tubes, but want more gains, then these are a viable option...except it will require welding, where-as if the car is stock these are just bolted on.

Dumb questions incoming:

I have a "virgin" 2010 Camaro V6 Manual. I was thinking about adding a CAI first, then getting a Trifecta tune. Is there anything else I should do prior to getting the Trifecta? Does the CAI really make a difference to justify the almost 600 bucks "investment"?

Yes, depending on the CAI it truly does make a noticable difference in both performance and sound. If you get the tune it will make even more of a difference and for minor add-ons (like a ported TB) the tune should be modified for free. At least that is my understanding.

It's $465 from us. Only $600 if you go through Trifecta direct.

FYI Trifecta has had the 2012 LFX as a supported car since end of Dec. 2011!

Anyone thinking about a tune... they are definitely worth it, even on the manual. I know they are working on an updated tune, but if you want a tune there really isn't a reason to wait. An update shouldn't cost you anything extra as long as you have the cable. BNR does seem to always have the best deal going too...
