And I never really cared about the warranty anyway.

Plus, nothing I do to get that 122 horsepower will void the warranty. There will be no work done to the internals, no forced induction - nadda.

This must be your first new car, to get 122 HP out of the V6 will without a doubt void the warranty. You really think the only thing that voids your warranty is to do work to the internals of the engine or force induction?

I really think you are in denial

Or you just don't have any clue about how warranties work.

Maybe you let YOUR dealer walk on you, but I don't. The warranty can only be voided if the dealer can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the replaced part caused the damage.

P.S. - And thats not just my view of how warranties should work, its federal law on how the DO work.

So finance the extra money now to have the V8 for the entire life of the car instead of when the life of the car is ending.

Heh! Now you're the one in denial.

For example, a CAI intake is not going to cause a thrown rod. If your engine throws a rod, the dealer can't void the warranty because you have a CAI.

Remember, YOU must prove that the mods did not cause the problem. I have been told by lawyers, who have fought on behalf of the customer, that the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is not worth the paper on which it's printed.

I am curious how you think you will even get 75 HP out of the V6 .... CAI-Exhaust-Tune is good for around 30-45 HP

Yeah GM does not care what you do to the Camaro V6 they said nothing voids the warranty because they can't prove any parts caused the problems.

No I know they will just look for any reason to void the warranty. I just tend to think that with intake/exhaust and a proper tune who knows what one could get out of this motor.
