ya the masserati's are amazing. i would take an M5 over them... but they still are a good example of shifting. and yes, i dont know a great deal about the Z06 models but it had paddles. lol.

i work at the most dignified club in my city... so i get my share of cream dream cars, but there are those that stand out as being the best.

Thank you...I guess I knew what I was saying in my head...but it just didn't translate the same way onto the computer. But I still think that my point was valid: why bother having a clutch with paddle shifters??

Well, I can certainly imagine wanting to operate the clutch manually sometimes and wanting to let the computer do it other times. For example, I'd want a computer operating the clutch when I'm stuck in a traffic jam, but when I'm pissed off I'll want to operate it myself so I can burn a lot of rubber...like this:

However, with decent programming (like VW's Launch Control) you can get all the same abilities as having a clutch pedal, all you're missing is the tactile pleasure of operating it.

This is all academic anyway...nobody's going to make a car with an automated manual and a clutch pedal that can be optionally used or not used.

Just to clarify, Z06's do NOT have paddle shifters, they only come in 6speed manuals. The LS3's and I think some LS2's have them.

Are you sure it's not just rebadged...or has a modified transmission?
I'm just having a very hard time swallowing this, because the C6 Z06 only comes with a manual transmission, and there are no paddles for that tranny.

I'm not trying to call you out or anything, but thinking about the Z06 and paddles just hurts my head....

guys, it had paddles. lol. it must have been modified for the paddles. my guess is the guy pushing all the buttons wanted paddles. so he gets paddles. im not saying its anything to do with production. this is the same guy that has his helicopter come pick him up when his yatch has engine problems. haha.
