Mods and Rear Wheel HP Question?

I have a question about the RWHP my '13 Camaro SS should be making with the mods I have. I have a cold air intake, SP Longtube Headers, Exhaust, HHP Custom Cam, LS3 Conversion and tune. Prior to the cam install and conversion, I had 370rwhp. After, my car has 432rwhp. The before and after dynos were done on a mustang dyno. Are the numbers consistent with the mods? Advice please! Thanks in advance!

+/- a few horses here and there. But that sounds about right.

I'm curious. I have a 2011 SS convertible. The only mod I've done so far is to upgrade to a beautiful looking CAI from Cold Air Inductions. Can you please share approximately your total cost for upgrades in order to obtain the 60 hp increase? Thank you.

Long Tube Headers - $500 - $1,000

Cam swap - $2,500 - $5,000

That includes tune and install for everything.

Oh my. About $6000 for 60 hp. That's $100 per horse. Ouch!

Really depends though, you can get cheaper / good quality headers for around $500 out the door.

So then there's the cam where all bets are off... depends on your goals. If you want a weekend warrior that shakes the block with each lope, then you're looking at an easy $3.5k on an LS3 (Manual)

You're always going to be looking at least $4.5k for an automatic cam... there's more labor involved with the autos so there is a tax on them.

Let's say you have a manual (ls3) then you can pick up 80 rwhp for an easy $3.5k

No, the OP gained ~50 with intake and headers, 62 more with the cam.

Cam kit or power adder (s/c, turbo) seem to be about the same costs, just supporting mods after those seem to wake the cars up.

when i s/c'd, i jumped from 367rwhp (fbo) up to 434rwhp (don't remember tq #'s), cost was similar. $7100 for the s/c kit, installation & tune.

now i'm looking at adding a cam, estimates show around $5k with a stall & cam.

then need a roll bar to keep going to the drag strip, that could be anywhere from $1500-$3000

then of course, more boost... wheels... tires..

never ends lol

OP: is yours an auto?

I have an M6, '13SS with identical mods (albeit different vendors - tobofab intake, kooks headers and green cats, corsa catback, nightfury cam and a tune by FSP. I dyno'd at 475rwhp

Like CamaroFred said samman11.......the 62 hp was just from the cam swap and tune. I had a gain of about 50 when I did the headers, CAI, Exhaust and tune. The cam swap was 3700 with parts and labor.

Something wrong with the numbers here cause 370 RWHP is stock numbers.
No way he was only getting 370 with headers.
Headers will put you to 400 ish and the cam and tune did the rest.
If anything the numbers for both mods seem low.

I spent $8883.00 for my performance mods that I installed myself and with the cost of a dyno tune. 546/rwhp, that is $48 per HP.
