Believe it or not...they just 'found' it. 2010s put out 312hp, too. They were rated with an old certification rating...apparently it was off by a few ponies.

They didn't bump it, it was there all along. They didn't bother certifying it for 2010 and just used the CTS numbers. But they knew that it had a better intake and/or exhaust system so it should be more. Ford tried to one-up the Camaro by making their new V6 305 hp, so GM actually certified the V6 and it officially makes 312 hp. They never changed a thing with the engine from 2010, the difference is only on paper.

2011 Colors

Are there any new colors coming in 2011? I heard a new blue is going to be available. Any idea if this is true and if so when will it be available to order?????? When will the green be available to order?

ahh haa yeah no problem. It was weird though. That day I had read like 5-6 threads where everyone who posted last was new here and asking a question that had been answered. I was having a good day so I figured I'd give him a little poke in the ribs, but help him out too. I was a n00b once, still am in some cases. Whats really funny is to see members who have like 3-4,000 post's and ask questions like that LOL... I've been there too ha haa.

For those interested... I did a search in the greater Los Angeles area for a 2011 SS/RS with the new Hurst Shifter option and saw one listed at Felix Chevrolet in downtown L.A. It is black with IOM interior. I am really interested in seeing the factory install on this, as well as feel the shift mechanism itself. If anyone thinks I should post some photos of the factory install let me know. As mentioned in previous post, I am interested in any badging they might do for the Hurst option since I haven't seen one shown yet.

Does anyone know if they changed the gearing and the exhaust on the 2011 vs. the 2010 SS? I friend of mine said that a dealer here in Austin suggested that.

The 2010 didn't charge extra for the yellow and inferno orange. Now the 2011 are an additional $325 for these colors.

2010 camaro 2ss/rs

looking at a new 2010 2ss/rs camaro with automatic, sunroof, stripe package. msrp is 38900. worked a price to 35000 plus 1500 in accessories. figure I'd upgrade the exhaust. also have a 1500 "private offer" discount and 2000 in credit card points. that gets me to 31500. only problem is I like the Heads up display option on 2011. should I forget out that an take a good price?
