Highbeams/Brights light on the DIC...

Does this seem ridiculously bright to anyone else? I don't drive my baby much at night but everytime I do I am half blinded by the highbeam light that appears on the DIC.

That's all I've got, I absolutely love everything about my car except that light .

It doesn't seem that bad. We have done some midnight autocrossing on some twisty back roads with that light on, didn't impair vision or anything. GM probably should've had a dimmer for people that don't want the lights that bright though.

How do you think that your high beams look to oncoming traffic? If you are driving on back roads for long distances without traffic, you can forget that you have your high beams in use. Just my take on it.

Humm, wish i could see mine, being 6' 3" and apparently the way I sit/steering wheel location etc... i cannot see that light (way top of DIC) as its blocked by the top of the steering wheel. So sometimes I forget its on, but with the RS headlights, on-coming cars quickly let me know if there on

That little bugger is way bright! It's like someone's pointing a laser light at my eyes. The dimmer switch does no good, the high beam indicator just prevails over the rest of the dash. I need to figure out a fix for this because I absolutely love driving at night in the country!

Glad someone agrees with me . I'm 6'0 but I dip the steering wheel down when I get in and that puts that light directly into my field of view. I guess taping over it is an option but I don't really want to take have tape on my car. I'm not looking for a fix to this as there isn't an easy one, just curious as to whether or not it bugged anyone else.

I too have noticed this. It doesn't really pose a problem because the only time I drive at night is when I get restless and want to burn up the highway with nobody else around, but when I do drive at night, it is rather bright. Too bad it's raining because that seems like a really good idea right now...

my dad's old blazer had the airbag light on constantly.... he got tired of it and one day we put some black electrical tape over the light.... problem solved! Cheap, simple and easy to reverse. Can't beat that right?
