Texas Car Wars

Hey Camaro5 friends,

I finally get to say it after long months of us working hard for the show, My husband's shop "Atomic Garage" is part of a new series for Discovery Channel "Texas Car Wars" which airs September 6th Thursday 10pm ET/PT. My Camaro will definitely make some appearances as it is my daily driver and very much rockin' the Camaro5 sticker

Description of the show:

Discovery Channel travels deep in the heart of Texas and into the fast-paced world of auto-flipping. Watch as four, extremely competitive auto body shops engage in full-on bidding wars to find the most valuable jalopies and turn them into resell jackpots. The new eight-episode, one-hour series TEXAS CAR WARS premieres on Thursday, September 6th at 10 PM ET/PT.

Austin, the capital of the Lone Star State, and home to SXSW and the Austin City Limits Music Festival, is also one of the car auction hot spots of the U.S., where the junk cars of yesteryear get a last chance to hit the road. The world of auto-flipping is a risky business and the stakes are high as each auto body shop faces off in auction showdowns. The teams only have 10 minutes to do the most basic inspection, but they are not allowed to start the cars. Will the cars have workable engines? Will the buyers discover a hidden gem? Or will they go broke before they even reach their auto garage? Watch as one man’s junk, truly becomes another man’s treasure.

TEXAS CAR WARS follows the bidding wars between four, Texan auto shops in and around Austin that are known for their fearlessness at each auction. Watch as they each take very different approaches to auto-flipping. Watch which garage made the most money in each episode as they flip junk cars into one-of-a-kind automobiles.

· Led by husband-wife team Beep and Holley, Barrett Auto Care will make fellow bidders think twice associating this team as a sweet “Ma and Pop” shop as they will quickly outbid anyone to nab a high-profit resale.

· Josh, the owner of his home backyard-based Rodriguez Rod & Cycle, admits to lacking a fancy garage, but he always hits the right price with daring car revamps.

· Ken, Sarah, Mike and Marty, the team behind Atomic Garage, may be the rookies, but their lack in car auction experience is overshadowed by their big personalities and confidence.

· Finally, the kingpins of car auctions, Frank, Dennis and Big Block of Old Skool Kustoms, have the guts and the big bucks to always nab the best bids and highest car sales.
