I love my Bichon Frise. I've had German Shepherds, a Shih-tzu, a Black lab, a Golden Lab, 3 Sharpeis, and I've spent a ton of time with Rotts and Pomeranians. My bichon is just as smart as my German Shepherd but doesn't shed nearly as much.

I like any dog that doesn't bark for no reason. When I get some dogs of my own in my own place I'm going to get a rot and a small dog. My g/f wants a Maltese, so I think we might get one of those.

Golden Retrievers are the best dogs. IMHO. Great personalities, Great with kids, Great with strangers. Only downside is the shedding but im fine with that

I like most kinds of dogs.

But I HAVE a Beagle named Jasmin and a Yellow Lab named Merlyn.

Here's a pic of them when Merlyn was still a puppy-

This is Merlyn now-

The fur all over is my only complaint. I'm not sure I'd ever have another large dog like the lab because it's so bad.

The lab sheds worse than the beagle and my 2 cats combined.

I'm a huge cat lover also. And both of mine have very distinct personalities.

If given the choice of only a car OR dog though, I'm going to go with the cat. Cleaner, quieter, more self sufficient...

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I have to disagree with you... a lot If you think cats have no personality, I've got a few for you to meet, and one I wish you could have met (RIP), you would learn the meaning of personality. I had a cat named Rusty, he had so many quirks and habits, it drove my parents crazy. He died when he was only two, but he left behind so many memories you wouldn't understand, and for you to say cats have no personality is total

Personally, even if my cats wanted to go for a 'joy ride' I'd never take them... I see a lot of stupid owners with their dogs on their lap while driving, or dogs in the back of their truck, all it takes is one accident, and you just maimed or killed your dog.

All pets have the potential to be family.

And with that rant, my favorite dog breed is the Irish Terrier...

I admit beforehand my unabashed bias to what my favorite breed of dog is.

The Golden Retriever

Here is my "son", Moose. (Now you all know where my username originated. )

(The worst thing to do is ask me about my dog. I'll talk your ear off about him, and show you as many pictures as you'd like. )

The "you" makes that personal, you know that? I could have said far worse things that would warrant a response like this,. but it's a matter of personal opinion and I'm entitled to mine. Just a little is all that's required.

Dachshunds, I want one really bad but need to get a house first. I just laugh when I see a wiener dog, I think they are hilarious (and good dogs).
