The Teal Color on Gen 3 and Gen 4 Camaros was so common it was overdone, and did a lot for the stereotypical image of the Camaro Driver with his mullet and wife beater shirt in an ugly colored car. Now your dig on Bangor could be considered bashing, but considering that Wayne's World was set more than 1000 miles away I'm having trouble understanding your inference.

Wow... I was really leaning towards Imperial Blue. What a Shame
Maybe I'll wait and see if it comes out later. At least that way I can get the heads up display too. I am really disappointed though. I've been waiting a long time for this car... |

Add me to the list of people wanting the SS2/RS in Blue with white rally stripes.

Re-posting for effect:
I understand the reasoning for reducing build combinations, and I'm sure we all appreciate the attempts to reduce cost however possible. But you can surely take the hit for ONE more color, right? Again, I'm getting a Cyber Gray car...but the purchases of the folks who've posted here that say they want to buy a Blue SS, alone, could probably make up for any $$ issues that arise with adding another color to the lineup. Not to mention, of course, other potential blue SS buyers who don't haunt an internet forum...they're out there -- and you're gonna loose them.:( Please Offer a BLUE on the SS!!! |

Thank you, Scott for being an enthusiast first and GM employee second. We are so lucky to have you on our side and looking out for what we really want.
It's a damn good thing that we already have 3 blue cars or I'd be super pissed about this whole thing. If there were no Cyber Gray, I don't know what I'd do since I really am trying not to add another black car to the fleet. GM - I think this is a HUGE mistake to keep blue out of the SS lineup. Imperial Blue is going to be one of the most gorgeous colors on the 5th gen and should be in the hands of the folks that will take pride in their cars and will spread the word about the fine automobile they are drivng. I personally would never cross to the other side by looking to another brand, but there are many that will to get the look they want. As you should know by now since you work for GM, there is a good number of the general public who really think about the image that their "ride" portrays when they are in it. Some folks like certain colors and will only have cars of that color. (I am kind of the opposite of that where I have colors I WON'T buy.) IMPERIAL BLUE SS's ARE A MUST!!!!

PLEASE OFFER Imperial Blue!!!!!
And thank you, FBF, for bringing our conerns to those that may consider them! As disappointed as I was when I heard the confirmation, I am now as much or more surprised, and pleased, that we may still get what we want.

Someone should start a poll here for SS buyers and potential SS buyers and have them go through each of the colors and rank them in order of preference. In the end take the top 8 colors from that list and omit the two least popular.
Whatever "Focus Group" decided blue was a bad color was definitely NOT made up of the actual people who are going to be buying the car. |

I'd be cool with Imperial Blue being on the SS and Aqua Blue not being available... but some blue needs to be offered... the heritage goes back too far to just not offer one.

This is the same lame BS that Dodge pulled with their Challenger SRT8. There is a difference, however: the SS is not a limited production, niche market car. That would have been the Z-28, which GM also declined to build.
This is the exact opposite direction that GM should be going in. They should be offering more colors for the SS, not less. They are trying to build a new franchise here, correct? They want to sell 100,000+ cars the first year, right? They claim that both they and their car are better then the competition, don't they? Their goal is to take a huge bite out of those Mustang and Challenger sales and establish themselves within this market for years to come, yes? Instead of offering zero blue's for their new signature car, they should offer three. The two they have now, which would look something like this: And then another altogether that is exclusive to the SS (if necessary - I'm no fan of punishing those who buy the base model car). Perhaps like this: Instead, those looking for a blue powerhouse car will have to ignore the Camaro completely and look at these instead: I think it's also of note that Dodge is offering a second Blue color as a special edition later in the year. It'll look like this: What do you have to say for yourselves GM? |

This is a real disappointment. I heard this has been forwarded to people with some power, however truthfully I would get a V6 as opposed to a V8 if I can't get it in Aqua Blue Metallic with the blue interior ambient lighting.
