Non RS rims and roof strips???
so I was wondering what the non RS rims look like and why you can't get body color roof rails without RS? I think that's lame?

It depends on the model but if you look in the gallery message board there's plenty of non-rs examples. As to why the black roof ditch moldings for non-rs, I guess it's a cost thing that and something they wanted to do for RS only... dunno.

Ok I like the rims and the black strips are doable now I just have to decide if I want the hids or not

I find the black roof ditch moldings without RS pathetic. My LS Cobalt freaking has body colored roof ditch moldings, but you have to buy a $1200+ package to get them on the $25,000+ Camaro? GM screwed up few things with this car, but that is one of them.

I totally agree my 07 cobalt SS/SC has body colored too. Its almost like they did it so you would buy the RS

I used to be Dragoneye...

It does?!? Did you get some extra package with it or something? I only ask, because mine doesn't...and I wanted them for a little while. Luckily, my car's dark enough that I can't tell.
I almost wonder if this wasn't a "we need to put something else in the package" issues. |

I'm thinking you're reasoning sounds most likely. As it is, the RS package is pretty weak besides the HIDs. Darker wheel and taillight finish? Puh-lease. And looking at the pictures, the black roof ditch moldings don't look awful. This isn't a deal-breaker in any way, more of a very slight annoyance. I'm more upset we're forced to get 20 in staggered width wheels with the SS and V6 RS.
