Time delay for lights is done via "configuration" controls in the radio.

It pretty much confirms GM used the "silver box" approach to this car's HVAC/Radio/etc controls. They're all tied into one thing. |

Me thinks this may just be a prototype part. Some research shows there is only one dial for the dimmer.

If anyone is in South Florida and is interested the car was featured with photos in this weeks Marco Sun Times. One was sent to my MI address and as soon as I get back there I will scan and post.

Thanks for the scoop! Looks similar to my 06' Impala light controls-I'll have to try that on them to see if DRL's turn off. It would also be very cool to have ability to switch on just the halo's....Is that possible?

Supposedly...because they aren't the DRLs, and I've seen them on alone in person...but I can't say anything for sure.

Hmm, I doubt it would be headlight adjustment. That's generally not something you want to be able to adjust on a whim and/or could easily change on accident. Headlight adjustments are deliberate maintenance acts. It would almost be like having a "drain oil" button.
Ambient lighting dimmer, on the other hand, makes a lot of sense.

The pics of the switches look night and day different. The one from #3 looks much better than the first one (with the 2 scrolls) My guess is the one with 2 scrolls was an existing part and they integrated it into the Camaro. Or vice versa. either way the #3 one looks great. It looks like it belongs in a very nicely finished car. The other one looks like it was from a Cavalier. I am feeling much better about the delay.

Heather, or Number 3...could you guys speak about the nightime visibility in regards to the regular headlamps? I guess I want to know if there's any real reason to go for the HIDs. And if the standard headlights are okay -- I won't. Thanks for your input! |
